WILSON ARTHUR (Skyy Group of Company's) |
The elected Member of Parliament (MP) on the ticket of the ruling NDC for the newly created Wassa East District in the Western Region, Isaac Adjei Mensah has challenged his close contender in the just ended general elections Wilson Arthur to come on board with him to deliver to the people of Wassa East if he really have the concerns of the people at heart.
According to the MP elect Mr. Adjei Mensah, he was not worried at all about the caliber of his competitor Wilson Arthur from the camp of the NPP because he knew NDC is well granted in the Wassa East constituency. “My worry was the gap, I wanted to make sure it was a big win and that is why his control on the media or his advantage on the media platform was a bit of a worry but not necessary that he is going to take the seat”.
Mr. Isaac Adjei Mensah however throws a challenge to Mr. Wilson Arthur who is also the CEO for Skyy Group of Companies to come on board with him to deliver to the people of the Wassa East Constituency if he really has the people’s plight at heart.
He added that, Wilson Arthur has not lost but he only competed a race and someone won and “I request that he comes on board and indeed demonstrate his commitment to the development of Wassa as he proclaims to be”. But according to Isaac Adjei Mensah, he has not seen any concerted effort from Wilson Arthur to demonstrate his effect of help developing the Wassa East District.
Out of 33,657 valid vote cast, Isaac Adjei Mensah who contested the seat on the ticket of the NDC pulled 19,242 whiles Wilson Arthur who also contested the seat on the ticket of the NPP pulling 13,996 vote and Moses Twumasi-Ankrah from the camp of PPP managed to pull 419 vote making Isaac Adjei Mensah the winner of the newly created Wassa East constituency seat for the ruling NDC from 2013-2016.
Meanwhile Wilson Arthur has remained silent over the issue as he says “no comment on this subject matter for now”.
