THREE TRAPPED DEAD IN THEIR MUD HOUSE AT EGYAM

The people of Egyam suburb of Apowa in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region wake-up on Wednesday morning to a shocking news as a mud house collapsed on a family of three. 

The incident involved a 60-year old woman and her two grandchildren at Egyam. The deceased woman whose name was given as Grace Nson and the two young boys of ages three and seven were sleeping in their mud house when it collapse on them after a heavy downpour which rocked parts of the region at the don of Wednesday.

One James Quaicoe who was also affected by the collapsed structure is currently on admission at a hospital receiving treatment. Meanwhile bodies of the deceased’s have been deposited at the mortuary.
An eyewitness who helped in breaking their door to search for them under the mud narrated to the news team what he saw.

Achimota Melcom Building Collapsed

Information reaching ennimil indicates that the Achimota branch of Melcom has collapsed trapping everyone inside.

According to an eye witness the the four storey building collapsed like an explosion, injuring even those standing by the road.

The police have been able to rescue some of the victims and they have been taken to the Achimota Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a lot more people have been trapped under the marble and the police as well as fire tenders are on the scene trying to save more people.
